The Blog's New Threads

Ladies and gents, I am proud to present to you the new format for sauce for thoughts, now fully integrated into the Unstoppable website with which it shares its URL abode.  Enjoy the same old lovable content in a slick new format.  Click here to check it out.

Kids Will Love It: Evisu Kids' Tee

Make yourself jealous of your own children and buy them this shirt.  Evisu's simple, illustrated graphics seem ageless in application and might even encourage you to have another child just to keep wearing this after your current bundle of joy outgrows it.  Get it here.

Monday Morning Mayhem

Break out of the cycle.

N.E.R.D. - Provider

Enjoy.

Morning Musing: Alexander Graham Bell

“What this power is I cannot say; all I know is that it exists and it becomes available only when a man is in that state of mind in which he knows exactly what he wants and is fully determined not to quit until he finds it.”

Good Shabbos: The Mezuzot of Ed Cohen

So you found this blog.  Pretty big deal.  But did you know Ed Cohen also makes awesome wooden mezuzot?  Check out the full lineup here.  Very modern without being too kitschy or looking like a bad handicraft from a Tzfat street fair.  I am quite lucky to bear this name.  Just check out all the studs who share this name with me.  Have a good eve.

Opportunity: Burton x R. Crumb Tee

If you're saying to yourself, "Hey, that's a cool shirt.  But who is R. Crumb???" - that's perfectly fine.  His work hasn't been all that popular since the '70's.  But that doesn't take away from his value today as a significant artist in modern illustration whose inspiration to many modern artists proves his timelessness.  In fact, you might already know Richard Crumb's art without even knowing it.  Get the shirt here.

Beastie Boys: Sabotage

Enjoy.

Morning Musing: James Brown

Weekend Plans: Hugues de Montalembert @ French Institute Alliance Française

When Hugues de Montalembert was randomly attacked in 1978 and blinded as a result, he saw it as the greatest challenge and opportunity of his life.  In the 30 years since then, he's published a book, traveled numerous times around the world, and now released a documentary entitled Black Sun, in which he explains both the personal toll and growth of his experience.  Hugue reveals the deepest corners of his spirit as he lets us accompany him through an adventure that is both englightening and unnerving.  Check out a preview clip below.

Sweetshirt: Hype Means Nothing

Hype Means Nothing has always struck me as a pair of pretty funky dudes.  Their whole brand concept is basically having pictures of iconic people doing the batglasses thing.  Thing is, it's pretty cool that they've managed to pull this off, in spite of copyrights, the limitations of photoshop, and reality.  Simple and consistent branding that triggers a response.  That's all any brand can hope for.  Get it here.

Gems of Craigslist: Dog Mailbox

"Just email me what you got?"
